Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix realized early on that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. The following year, she was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium throughout her races at the Olympics held in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
